Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is designed to improve the health of people with low income who are at least 60 years of age, by supplmenting their diets with nutritious USDA Foods.

You could be eligible to receive a free box of shelf-stable food items each month if you are at least 60 years old and have an income that is at or less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Recipients must live in Elkhart, LaPorte, Marshall or St. Joseph Counties.

Participants receive items such as canned fruits and vegetables, powered milk, canned chicken or tuna, fruit and vegetable juices, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, and fresh cheese.

100% ($16,490.00) [FY 2024 – 2025] of the total costs for The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) are financed with federal funds. CSFP is an equal opportunity provider.
