Mobile Food Distribution Program
Hitting the Road to Help Hungry Neighbors.
The Food Bank’s Mobile Food Distribution Program hits the road and brings food directly into food desert/underserved areas throughout Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, St. Joseph and Starke Counties. Distributions are drive-thru style and neighbors stay in their vehicle to receive food. An area is available for walk-ups.
Participants receive both perishable and non-perishable foods such as produce, grains, dry beans, dairy and protein. These distributions supplement the work of the Food Bank’s partner agencies and provide our neighbors with extra items or items they may not receive during a pantry shopping visit. Mobile food distributions do not count against a pantry visit.
