Limited financial resources make it challenging for many seniors in our communities to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Sadly, many seniors make impossible decisions like purchasing food and paying for other necessities such as medication or household expenses.
The Food Bank’s Senior Nutrition Program serves low-income seniors living in low-income senior housing communities in Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, St. Joseph and Starke Counties.
Each month, participants receive a food box containing shelf-stable items such as rice or dry beans, canned tuna or chicken, macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables or fruit, boxed potatoes, pasta and sauce, applesauce, cereal, crackers, soups, bread and one frozen meat. Additionally, fresh produce, personal care items and cleaning supplies may be included.

The Easiest way to get involved. Every $1 that you donate provides 4 meals and hope for those who need it most.
